A wonderfully characterful hand-carved folk art duck decoy, featuring a beautifully weathered painted surface, applied glass eyes and an unmistakably handmade character.
The irregular carving, visible tool marks, layered construction and extensive aged paint loss give this old waterfowl decoy a fantastic primitive folk-art quality. Its wonderfully worn surface tells the story of years of use and adds so much character.
Unsigned and unmarked, this is a particularly charming example for collectors of antique decoys, folk art and primitive carvings.
